Accounts software company takes to the cloud

13 May 2011

Online accounts firm Big Red Book has developed an online version of its technology that will result in its 16,500 registered users work in the cloud.

The company has adopted the Microsoft Windows Azure platform and has become a Microsoft ISV.

The move to the cloud is key to its expansion into the UK, Australia and Canada.

“Betting our business on the cloud, we anticipate doubling our turnover and will be increasing staffing levels by 50%, and are expecting to add 11 new jobs in 2011,” Marc O’Dwyer of Big Red Book said.

“In addition to this we are opening overseas offices initially in the UK, followed by Australia and Canada within the next eighteen months.”
