The organisers of the O2 National Digital Media Awards are calling for entries to the new awards that will be presented at the O’Reilly Hall in UCD on 23 January.
Organised by Digital Media Intelligence (DMI) and sponsored by O2, the awards aim to showcase the emerging digital media industry in Ireland and identify innovators in this industry.
Enterprise Ireland forecasts that the digital media industry here will treble in size between now and 2005.
According to DMI, extensive market research has led to the establishment of a comprehensive list of 18 categories that encompass the digital media sector in Ireland, ranging from Best Wireless Content to eLearning Company of the Year and culminating in the O2 Grand Prix Award, which will acknowledge the best in show at the January event.
The deadline for entries is 9 December. Judging takes place in late December, with winners being kept secret until the Gala Awards dinner on 23 January. For more information go to www.digitalmediaintelligence.com.
