Dublin mobile security firm in three-year deal with Oracle

AdaptiveMobile, a Dublin-based mobile security firm that protects more than 600m mobile subscribers worldwide, has entered into a major three-year software deal with Oracle.

AdaptiveMobile, which is a gold-level partner in the Oracle PartnerNetwork, has embedded Oracle Berkeley DB within its Network Protection Platform, designed to help mobile operators and service providers better protect their subscribers from viruses, spam, malware, fraud and inappropriate content.

Providing the same robust data storage features as traditional, relational database systems, Oracle Berkeley DB will serve as the central platform on which policy information is exchanged within AdaptiveMobile’s Network Protection Platform

The three-year deal with Oracle will enable AdaptiveMobile to increase revenues for its Network Protection Platform, by enhancing the performance, scalability and resilience of its policy management platform.

The AdaptiveMobile Network Protection Platform supports mobile operators in three key areas: network protection; personalised protection; and network, insight with real-time threat visualisation and analysis.

“AdaptiveMobile is an outstanding example of a firm creating cutting-edge solutions for a global audience,” said Paul O’Riordan, country leader, Oracle Ireland.

“By tackling mobile security issues head on, it has cultivated a large customer base of 600m users and is considered leading experts in this field. We look forward to working closely with AdaptiveMobile over the coming years to help further the company’s success by combining both of our strengths into single application agreement,” O’Riordan said.
