At the opening of the Dublin Web Summit today, the Irish web content management provider pTools announced the launch of its new software-as-a-service (SaaS) web content management (WCM) solution.

According to the company, the new software will allow content to be securely distributed to users across desktop, mobile and tablet devices for web, extranet and intranet from a single secure source.

Speaking today, Keith Wood, CEO of pTools, said the company was already seeing take-up of the new SaaS offering by new and existing customers.

“We are delighted to be able to launch this in our home city, Dublin, at what is effectively one of the biggest and most dynamic new technology conferences in the world this year,” he said.

The new pTools SaaS application is available for either a monthly or annual subscription fee. The company said the software service combines all of the enterprise-level features of pTools. It said it had invested more than €1m in redeveloping its WCM software for cloud and SaaS delivery.

pTools is headquartered in Dublin and has an office in Toronto, Canada. It opened its London office in June.
