Microsoft has revealed its latest cloud-focused edition of the Office suite is its best-seller yet with, on average, more than one sold every second since its launch.

Office 365 Home Premium – the Office suite reinvented for consumers using multiple devices – launched at the end of January this year, followed by three business packages in late February.

Since its January launch, Office 365 Home Premium has already hit 1m subscribers.

Microsoft compares this to other services that experienced rapidly growing subscriptions and sees Office 365 fall in line just behind Instagram, which took just two-and-a-half months to hit 1m subscribers. Office 365 Home Premium took three-and-a-half months.
