Adobe Systems Incorporated has announced it will open a data centre to serve its Ominture Business Unit Customers in Europe, Middle-East and Africa (EMEA).

The new data centre, based outside of London, UK, will provide faster data processing, improve application usability and performance and expanded localised data storage capabilities for the web analytics firm, according to Adobe.

International customers

“This new data centre will serve our growing list of international customers and is aligned with our commitment to be compliant with changing privacy and data collection standards,” said Brad Rencher, vice-president and general manager, Omniture Business Unit, Adobe.

“Data collected on behalf of our European customers will be processed in Europe,” he added.

The new data centre is now being built out in a co-location facility and will house thousands of services and network devices and will be available to new Omniture Business Unit customers in the first quarter of 2011.

Adobe Systems Incorporated acquired Omniture Inc in a transaction valued at about $1.8nb last year.
