Ireland’s first desktop virtualisation boot camp will take place on 21 March, involving Trilogy Technologies, Cisco, NetApp and VMware.

The event, which takes place at Cisco’s Eastpoint operations, will coincide with the launch of Trilogy’s Flexpod business practice, which provides an integrated data centre solution for specific workloads built on VMware, Cisco and NetApp environments.

Flexpod provides a flexible, shared data centre infrastructure optimised for virtualisation that can be scaled according to needs.

“The clear advantage of this architecture for business over the traditional infrastructure is that it will future proof the transition to the cloud by integrating disparate compute, storage and network components into a single system that scales to fit a variety of virtualised and non-virtualised customer environments,” explained Edel Creely, managing director, Trilogy Technologies.

“This solution will then protect current investments while scaling for future growth,” Creely said.
