Sabeo sets up IT contract arm

12 Feb 2007

Sabeo Technologies, the Dublin-based systems integration firm, has set up a new operation to provide technical staff on contract to customers.

Sabeo Contracting Services will offer qualified IT professionals on long- or short-term contracts, in a move intended to save clients the hassle of having to recruit such staff themselves.

Through the company, clients will be able to define their requirements and source, screen and select suitable candidates from there. Sabeo has set up a website, at www.sabeocontracting.com that allows available IT contractors to search current job opportunities and register to receive automatic updates by email when roles become available.

The operation will be headed up by Paul Schmitz, who was previously involved with the outsourcing provider I.T. Alliance. Veronica O’Riordan has been appointed as senior recruitment consultant, responsible for developing and managing Sabeo’s client base as well as sourcing and screening of staff for customer engagements.

According to Paul Goti, marketing director with Sabeo Technologies, setting up the new company was “a natural progression” that came from customer demand. “Our customers were finding it increasingly difficult to source the IT professionals they needed directly,” he said. “As a trusted IT partner, they were turning to us to source the skilled and experienced staff they required for both short-term and long-term contracts.”

Sabeo Technologies employs 30 people in Dublin and had revenues of €15.5m last year. The company is growing at an annual rate of around 30pc.
