Tech blogger Robert Scoble loves Google Glass so much he even showered with the device and released a photo of himself doing so to prove it. And then the memes came.
“I will never live a day of my life from now on without it,” Scoble had written recently about Google Glass, internet giant Google’s forthcoming wearable computer. “This is the most interesting new product since the iPhone and I don’t say that lightly.”
Scoble also predicted that upon launch, Google Glass is likely to go on sale for between US$200 (the cost on the device’s bill of materials) and US$500, making Google Glass a more feasible purchase for consumers.
At the moment, about 10,000 units of Google Glass are being shipping to beta testers and winners of the If I Had Glass contest – for US$1,500.
After two weeks of wearing Google Glass, Scoble said the device has “changed my life.
“I will never live a day without it on.”
