Electronics retailer Carphone Warehouse will open its Grafton Street and Henry Street shops in Dublin at 7am tomorrow, so customers can buy the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus before they’ve even had breakfast.

Carphone Warehouse said staff will be on hand to talk customers through the specs of Apple’s latest smartphones, and to answer any questions they might have.

To mark the release of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in Ireland, Carphone Warehouse asked customers to take part in a related survey. The findings reveal what potential iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus owners will be looking for in the handsets.

Some 340 customers took part in the survey, which suggests nearly half (47.94pc) of the respondents would choose a smartphone with a 64GB capacity. This percentage is nearly matched by the 44.41pc who could opt for 16GB, and only 7.65pc would choose 128GB.

In terms of colour, 64.71pc of respondents would prefer the space gray model of the iPhones, followed by 19.41pc opting for white, and 15.88pc choosing gold.
