Google revamps Gmail Android app with a sleeker and more modern style

4 Nov 2014

Google has updated its Gmail app for Android and has adopted a sleeker, more modern design that makes it more convenient to reply to messages and have conversations on the go.

As previously reported the updated Gmail app will also support all email providers, including Yahoo Mail or Outlook.com addresses using POP/IMAP.

The tablet rendition of Gmail for Android will also make it possible to switch smoothly between accounts and various inbox categories.

According to product manager Matthew Izatt the updated Gmail app will support all Android 4.0+ devices.

It will start appearing on the Google Play store in the coming days.
