HTC teases the possible coming of the ‘One M10’

26 Feb 2016

Taiwanese phone manufacturer HTC is teasing its fans with an image that strongly hints at the launch of its next flagship phone, likely to be called the HTC One M10.

Like most flagship phone teasers that have become standard in the industry, HTC has revealed almost next-to-nothing about its latest product, except for the image released today.

With what looks like the edge of the phone, the message ‘Power of 10’ is the only information we have to go on.

However, you’d have to imagine that that hints strongly at it being the follow-up to the HTC One M8 and One M9 that have preceded it.

But to throw a few spanners in the predictive works, it could also hint at another one of its line of phones, like the HTC A9 we reviewed in January.

To go even more left-of-field, could it hint at HTC teaming up with Microsoft to introduce Windows 10 as its operating system?

While the name of it is still up for debate, HTC has revealed some details on the new phone, promising to greatly improve upon its cameras, which it has said will offer “a very, very compelling camera experience”.

Rumours of the camera’s spec suggest it could feature a 12Mp rear camera that will come with phase detection, laser autofocus and image stabilisation.

As for the selfie camera, it’s believed to have a 5Mp resolution UltraPixel camera.

if we’re to believe Evan Blass aka @evleaks on Twitter, this is supposedly how the phone will look, which, if you’ve a keen eye, looks an awful lot like the iPhone 6.
