Internet TV network An Lár TV has made a new channel called An Lár Arts which covers Irish arts and artists involved in contemporary and classical music, dance, jazz, visual arts, fine art, poetry and literature.
The new channel will feature contributors such as The Dublin Philharmonic Orchestra, Irish World Academy, Irish Museum of Modern Art, Harp & Co., Express Events, the Cross Border Orchestra, Arcane Collective, the Irish Modern Dance Theatre and more.
“Over the last year, we have seen increasing demands for Irish arts programming, particularly from North America and South East Asia,” said Susanne Carpenter, operations director of An Lár TV.
“We are delighted to be working with so many renowned artists and arts organisations to launch An Lár Arts, and hope to expand the range of programmes on offer in the future,” she said.
An Lár TV is an all-island internet TV network based around Irish communities. It has been operating for 18 months and has since built up an audience from more than 120 countries with its biggest audience located in the US.
Its main channel focuses on Irish culture and heritage. It also has dedicated rock music, trad music, kids and paranormal channels
An Lár TV is available online and is viewable on PCs, smartphones, tablets and TVs with media-streaming devices.
