15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display

NPD DisplaySearch analyst Richard Shim claims that Samsung, LG Display and Sharp are currently producing 13.3-inch Retina displays for Apple that will likely be used in a new MacBook Pro.

A 15-inch MacBook Pro featuring Retina display was revealed in June, packing more pixels than the entire population of Ireland. Though Apple also launched two new MacBook Air notebooks at the same time in 11-inch and 13-inch variants, Shim reckons that the 13-inch display will be used in a new MacBook Pro, CNET reports.

A 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display will not only represent a cheaper alternative to the current 15-inch model (which starts at €2,349), it may also be more desirable for those who compute on the move, as it’s likely to be lighter.
