Apple is expected to hold an invitation-only event on Tuesday, 22 October, where the company is expected to reveal updates to its iPad line-up as well as the new Mac Pro and OS X Mavericks operating system.
According to a report on AllThingsD, the fifth-generation iPad is expected to feature a thinner, lighter design akin to the iPad mini, as well as a new camera.
It will also run Apple’s new 64-bit A7 chip.
The second-generation iPad mini is expected to come with a Retina display and an A7 processor.
However, it is unclear whether Apple’s new iPads will feature the touch ID fingerprint sensor.
