Apple has already told us that the Wi-Fi-only model of the iPad will ship in late March with the Wi-Fi plus 3G version to come along at a later date some time in April. It may be the case that the exact date for launch is 26 March.
An anonymous source has given this date to the LA Examiner with 15 March as the date for when ads will begin to air.
While this information is US-specific, Apple has previously said the iPad will launch in selected regions worldwide on the same day as the US.
The Examiner story goes on to say that Apple store staff will get a chance to play with the tablet device as early as 10 March.
The Wi-Fi-only model (802.11n ) will be priced at US$499 for the 16GB model while the 32GB and 63GB models will retail at US$599 and US$699 respectively.
