Apple MacBook White gets processor boost

27 May 2009

The white edition, which is the smallest (13-inch) and least costly of the MacBook line-up, has received a bit of a sprucing up in the specs appeal department: the 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor has been bumped up to 2.13GHz and the hard drive has increased from 120GB to 160GB.

The good news is that the price tag remains the same (€949), but the bad news is that this new upgrade doesn’t seem to have reached the online Irish Apple Store just yet.

Graphics-wise, the Nvidia GeForce 9400m card remains the same as does the memory at 2GB DDR2. Let’s hope the white casing stays put also. As great as the aluminium model is, we don’t want the classic white version to disappear like the super-cool black matte version of old.
