Reports suggest that Apple could release an 8GB iPhone 4 within weeks aimed at emerging markets.
According to Reuters, this version is being manufactured in Korea and its flash drive is half the size of the current smallest flash drive of the iPhone 4 at 16GB.
Sources suggest that Apple is trying to breaking into the emerging markets, where most customers want to upgrade from high-end feature phones to low-to-mid tier smartphones. This version of the iPhone 4 could launch in a few weeks.
The report also adds to the increasing speculation of when the iPhone 5 will launch, claiming that it may arrive at the end of September. This is in spite of a previous report which says it will be released in early October.
The iPhone 5 is expected to have an 8 megapixel camera, an A5 processor, a larger screen and an improved antenna.
While nothing has been confirmed yet, considering how the rumour mill has gone into overdrive recently, Apple should soon be ready to announce the next edition of the iPhone.
