Original Netflix series House of Cards and Orange is the New Black, as well as one of the most binge-watched shows on the video-streaming site, Breaking Bad, have all been nominated in this year’s Emmy Awards.
Actress Mindy Kaling and TV host Carson Daly announced the nominees for the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards in North Hollywood, California, today.
The awards recognise excellence in the television industry, but that has expanded in recent years to honouring exclusively online programming, too.
While Breaking Bad isn’t a Netflix original series, it is the most binge-watched show on the service, the TiVo Spring 2014 Binge-Viewing Survey suggests. The show about a chemistry teacher turned drug kingpin is followed on the binge list by political drama House of Cards.
