Facebook rolls out Embedded Posts for all internet users

22 Aug 2013

Internet users will now be able to embed Facebook posts from the social network into their blogs or websites. When embedded, these posts can include pictures, videos, hashtags and other content.

Not only that, other internet users can like and share the post directly from the embedded post.

However, only posts set to public can be embedded on other websites.

Facebook has also introduced inline video playback in Embedded Posts.

The social network has also tweaked Embedded Posts on mobile, reducing the width of the embedded posts to fit better with smaller screens and it has also added larger ‘comment’ and ‘share’ buttons to make them easier to tap on.

Facebook has also added a new version of the Facebook plugins for WordPress that support embedded posts.

Facebook began introducing embedded posts a few weeks ago, starting with a handful of websites.
