Galway Atlantaquaria launches new website

The National Aquarium of Ireland, Galway Atlantaquaria, has announced the launch of its new website that sets out to engender a new and interactive view of aquarium activities.

The Galway Atlantaquaria, National Aquarium of Ireland, launched the website, www.nationalaquarium.ie, working with Fable Interactive, a Galway-based design company.

Kevin O’Hara, aquarium manager, said: “We are really pleased with the new look website and would like to thank everybody involved, including Neil Warner and John Smyth for some fantastic photography. Our new website went live this week and feedback on the site would be welcome.”

Education programme

The aquarium also launched their education programme for the autumn/winter semesters – The discover primary science, seashore sensations programme allows children in primary schools the opportunity to learn about marine life whilst taking part in hands-on science experiments and classroom activities.

The programme aims to develop creativity in children and show them the importance of science, according to the National Aquarium.
