HP has revealed its first ultrabook for businesses, the Folio13, which is less than 18mm thick and weighs 1.49kg.

It’s the latest ultrabook announced by HP, which aims to provide slim, portable computers with powerful specs. It’s believed there will be up to 50 ultrabooks shown at January’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, as the industry aims to use this category to re-invigorate the PC market.

The HP Folio13 battery lasts up to 9.5 hours in one charge and is powered by the latest Intel Core processors. It includes Intel Rapid Start Technology which provides a speedy resume time and low power consumption when not in use.

A TPM Embedded Security Chip can be included as an option for added security measures and the ultrabook includes numerous ports, including USB 3.0. The Folio13 has a solid state drive (SSD) with 128GB storage.

It has a 13.3-inch screen and a built-in HD web cam. It also includes Dolby Advanced Audio for optimal sound quality.

The HP Folio13 will be available in January, costing €899.99.
