HTC Flyer arriving on 23 May in Ireland

11 May 2011

HTC will release its Android tablet, the Flyer, on 23 May in Ireland, which will include Scribe technology and HTC Watch for movies.

The HTC Flyer runs on a 1.5GHz processor and includes a 7-inch display. It features its Android overlay HTC Sense and supports Flash 10 and HTML5 for web browsing.

The Flyer will introduce HTC Watch, a new download service where video content, such as movies, can be bought or rented and watched immediately through progressive download. Movies can also be stored in the cloud to let five registered HTC devices access them.

The Flyer also includes HTC Scribe technology, letting users take notes, draw and write on a web page or photo. Users can also synchronise audio recording with their notes for added context and notes can be integrated with the calendar to remind users of appointments. The Flyer also has in-built synchronisation with the popular note-taking app Evernote.

The HTC Flyer will be available from 23 May.
