Motorola Mobility is bringing out a new smartphone in Ireland called the Motorola DEFY+. The Android phone features a 3.7-inch display and is scratch resistant, water resistant and dust proof.

It’s the latest Android phone from Motorola Mobility, which was acquired by Google last year, and it will be released in Ireland on O2.

The Motorola DEFY+ has a 1GHz processor and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Along with being water resistant and dust proof, its 3.7-inch display includes scratch-resistant Gorilla glass.

The smartphone has MOTOBLUR, which offers quick access to social media accounts and Motorola Media Link to sync media content from PCs to the phone.

It’s equipped with a 5-megapixel camera and a 1700 mAH battery which claims to offer 7.1 hours of talk time.

The Motorola DEFY+ is available from O2 for €249.99 on pre-pay and from free on bill pay.
