A photo of Seal is accidentally used in WGRZ's report about the death of actor Michael Clarke Duncan

Buffalo NBC affiliate station WGRZ has apologised for running photos of singer Seal to accompany its report about the death of actor Michael Clarke Duncan, attributing the mistake to an ‘editing error’.

“Yep; our bad; we own it. A careless editing error at the end of the Michael Clarke Duncan story in our 11pm news. Two entertainment stories accidentally merged into one video clip. Sincere apologies,” WGRZ posted on its Facebook page.

WGRZ had run multiple photos of Seal with its story about Duncan’s death, Deadspin reported.

Duncan, best known for his role as John Coffey in the film The Green Mile, died Monday in a Los Angeles hospital, two months after being treated for a heart attack. He was 54.
