New Sony Ericsson smartphone to focus on social media and music

Sony Ericsson will release a new Android 2.3 phone – the Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman – focused on social networking and music.

The smartphone has a 3.2 inch screen with a 1GHz processor. It has a front-facing camera along with a rear-facing 5MP camera which can capture 720p HD video.

It has a dedicated Walkman button for instant access to the music player. The phone also has an infinite button for users to explore Sony’s Qriocity music and video service.

It boasts deep Facebook integration, letting users access Facebook through most parts of the phone, such as the music player, phonebook, calendar and picture gallery.

The smartphone also has a media discovery app which includes Facebook recommendations from friends.

The Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman will be available from the end of 2011 globally.
