Fancy an iPhone in blue, pink, yellow or silver? Well, you just may be able to grab one, as the next version of Apple’s smartphone may be available in more than just black or white.

Topeka Capital Markets analyst Brian White has released a report that foresees the next iPhone in six colours, just like the iPod touch.

News.com.au reported that White believes the new iPhone will be released in May or June.

“Our checks indicate that the next iPhone will have more choices for customers,” the report read.

“This entails an expansion in both the colour patterns and screen sizes with the next iPhone (ie, likely called the iPhone 5S) that we currently believe will be launched in May/June with certain supply production starting in March/April.”

White said the colours have been tested on the iPod touch, and would likely be applied to the next iPhone and iPad.

In terms of screen size – now 4 inches on the iPhone 5 and 3.5 inches on the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S – White said that is about to change with the next iPhone, allowing Apple to better bifurcate the market and expand its reach.

White added this would open up the possibility for a lower-priced iPhone, such as an iPhone mini, with an obviously smaller screen that would increase Apple’s penetration in markets such as China and India.
