The next update for the Nintendo 3DS will arrive from 7 June, giving the 3D handheld console access to an internet browser and the Nintendo eShop.

The Nintendo eShop will allow users to browse and purchase downloadable content for the 3DS.

The update will also enable users to browse the web directly from the console.

The new features can be downloaded through a Wi-Fi connection in Europe from 7 June.
