E-payments giant PayPal has developed a new app that allows Facebook users to send each other money alongside greeting cards for birthdays and other occasions.
The app, which is called Send Money, is a peer-to-peer payments platform and thereby there is no transaction fee except for international transactions.
According to Mashable, the payments giant believes PayPal and Facebook’s infrastructure have merged. More than 500m e-cards are sent every year.
Users can either send money with an e-card or just send money for any occasion.
However, according to TechCrunch, the Send Money app is not an actual partnership between PayPal and Facebook, it’s a standard app that has existed since 2009.
What’s new here is that users can now send a greeting card with the money.
