While the HTC Deluxe isn’t expected to launch until 2013, leaked press shots of the device have some users drooling over this high-spec Android smartphone already.
Considered to be the sister to HTC’s Droid DNA (released in the US) and J Butterfly (released in Japan), the HTC Deluxe is expected to feature a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM and a 5-inch Super LCD3 full-HD display with a resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 – placing it high in the top tier of Android smartphones.
Predicted features include Bluetooth, NFC, 8MP camera and a 2,020mAh battery, with a UI powered by Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean and HTC Sense 4+.
The leaked images show a colour range of white, black and brown. These more staid colours, plus the styling of the press shots, indicate that the new device will be targeted at the executive market – high-earning power users that can afford the phone’s hefty specs.
The HTC Deluxe is rumoured to be launching in China next month, while Europeans are thinking they may get a glimpse of it at Mobile World Congress in February 2013. Meanwhile, GSMArena.com’s sources say more information will follow on 6 December.
