No more rushing to print out the email containing your flight confirmation number after booking a seat with Ryanair, as the airline company today introduces SMS booking confirmation, allowing customers to get confirmation via their mobile phones.
The new SMS service costs €1 per message and is sent to your mobile phone as a text message within 24 hours of your online booking.
“This service will allow passengers the convenience of having their confirmation number delivered directly to their mobile phone. This will make travelling with Ryanair even easier, as passengers will no longer have to print out their confirmation email, but simply refer to their mobile phone for their flight details,” said Ryanair’s, Stephen McNamara.
The SMS service is provided by travel software firm 15below, whose customers include Virgin Express, Thomas Cook and Air Baltic.
“15below’s collaboration with Ryanair to provide an SMS booking confirmation service will allow Ryanair customers to benefit from personalised travel itineraries delivered directly to their phone, meaning that trip details are always close to hand,” said the firm’s managing director, Nicholas Key.
