Samsung launches teaser trailer for Galaxy S IV (video)

4 Mar 2013

In a short teaser from Samsung, a secret messenger is entrusted with a package to be delivered to its mid-March Unpacked event – but will he be able to keep the contents of the box top secret until then?

Samsung’s Unpacked event in New York City on 14 March will likely mark the unveiling of its new flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S IV. And, if the hyperbolic comments from the teaser video are anything to go by, then this will be “one of the biggest things to hit the market since TVs went colour!”

It’s rumoured that the S IV will be a 5-inch device featuring an eight-core Exynos 5 Octa processor, as well as a separate eight-core GPU. However, US models may get a 1.9GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor instead, if recent claims are to be believed.

Other speculated specifications include 2GB RAM, a 13MP rear camera capable of capturing 1080p video, 2MP front-facing camera, and Android’s 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS.

As long as secret messenger Jeremy Maxwell makes it to the Samsung Unpacked event, all will be revealed in due time.
