Sky has released a Sky Movies app for iOS devices today, letting users find out what’s on Sky Movies. They can also record films to their Sky+ HD boxes or watch a film live with the Sky Go app.

The app gives details on films available on Sky Movies, including reviews of the films. Users can record films to their Sky+ HD boxes to view later. They can also link a film to the Sky Go app to watch it live.

The Sky Movies app shows top picks of the day from the channel and details what will be coming to Sky Movies in the next week and the next month. The app also has movie trailers.

“We are really pleased to be able to add the Sky Movies app to our already strong offering of iPad and iPhone apps,” said Ian Lewis, director of Sky Movies.

“Combined with the Sky+ and Sky Go apps, customers now have even more ways to discover and enjoy the films they want to watch, either at home or on the move,” he said.

The Sky Movies app is available on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. An Android version will arrive early next year.
