The handbag belonging to the battling granny who took on a six-man armed gang trying to rob a jewelry store in England is to be auctioned on eBay.
In recent weeks, 71-year-old market trader Ann Timson – dubbed the ‘handbag heroine’ – took on a six-man gang armed with sledgehammers.
Since the events, Timson has been feted and has been on TV shows in the US.
Timson’s son, Andre, will manage the sale of the handbag on eBay and the funds will be donated to charities yet to be named.

A Sky News video that made its way to YouTube saw the brave gran in her red coat go charging at the gang in the midst of robbing a jewelry shop in Northampton. Timson initially thought the gang was attacking a kid but maintained her stout defence of the jewelry shop when she realised it was a robbery.
Immediately, the gang broke ranks and went running for their motorbikes and Timson went chasing after them, forcing one bike to slam into the ground.
In the end, four men have been charged for the robbery and vehicle offence.
