Superspy James Bond has it all – an adrenaline-filled job, brawn, brains, and in-vehicle gadgets. A new infographic looks back over the past 50 (yes, 50!) years of Bond films and points out the best Bond vehicle gadgets.

The infographic by Motoring.co.uk that’s published on Visual.ly starts with the Aston Martin DB5 in 1963’s Goldfinger, complete with a passenger ejector seat and revolving licence plates, and wraps up with the Aston Martin DBS V12 in 2006’s Casino Royale, which came with an on-board defibrillator.

Of note are the car that turns into an airplane (The Man With the Golden Gun) and the car that doubles as a submarine (The Spy Who Loved Me).

Bond fans itching to see what gadgets feature in the next Bond film don’t have much longer to wait: Skyfall is out on 26 October.
