Portable navigations systems provider TomTom has upgraded its Western European maps for its TomTom GO devices. Irish customers can download the new maps from the company’s website for free.

TomTom said that any customer who bought a device containing TeleAtlas 2006.07 data (Version 6.60 on their device) can avail of the map upgrade by contacting its customer support line and receiving an access code which can be used to download the new maps.

“By offering our TomTom GO users free upgrades they can be assured they will get the most out of their original investment in their TomTom product,” said Andrzej Kasprzyk, TomTom’s vice-president, sales and marketing UK and Ireland.

The new maps are compatible with the entire TomTom GO product portfolio including the TomTom GO 510, GO 710 and GO 910.

TomTom’s customer support number is 1890 812 008, or customers can contact the company using the email form on www.tomtom.com.
