Essentially, like your TomTom XL, the XXL has all the trimmings, including a high-quality speaker, text-to-speech and the Help-me! Menu for direct access to emergency numbers and directions to the nearest emergency-services providers.
The combination of 5-inch touchscreen and the EasyPort mount that folds neatly behind the back of the device makes it easy to use and easy to stow, and it is “Plug & Go,” with no installation needed.
Optional accessories include the a carry case (€19.95) as well as regular USB charger and USB car charger.
The TomTom XXL retails at €229 (RRP) and will be available in the usual stockists in Ireland this month.
