Twitter’s new web profile page that allows users to highlight their best tweets and pin top tweets to their profile page as well as filter timelines is now available to all users, the social network said last night.
In recent weeks it emerged that Twitter began a rollout of a new profile homepage for users that allows them to post a header image, a profile pic and highlight their most popular and successful tweets.
Almost immediately the new design attracted criticism from users claiming it was a Facebook rip-off. But like with most snarks, the whingers will get used to it and find something else to complain about in due course.
The new profile page for users will have three key ways to manage tweets: Best Tweets, Pinned Tweets and Filtered Tweets.
Best Tweets are tweets that have received more engagement will appear slightly larger, so your best content is easy to find.
The Pinned Tweet feature enables users to pin one of your tweets to the top of your page, so it’s easy for your followers to see what you’re all about.
And the Filtered Tweets function lets you choose which timeline to view when checking out other profiles. Select from these options: Tweets, Tweets with photos/videos, or Tweets and replies.
