Will Samsung’s next Galaxy S6 flagship phone be a double-edged sword?

The Samsung Galxy Not Edge's design will be heavily incorporated in the Galaxy S6

Samsung is putting a lot of emphasis on its curves ahead of this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona in March, teasing a curved line in a promotional invitation.

Dating the announcement of its next phone for 1 March, Samsung’s next flagship phone is due to launch at the same time as one of its biggest rivals, HTC and its own future flagship device, expected to be the HTC One M9.

While perhaps not the biggest surprise given its release of the Galaxy Note Edge late last year, most speculation is putting Samsung’s next device as adding yet another edge to both sides of the phone.

The Note Edge’s curved screen, while largely seen as a bid by the company to appear innovative, was considered an experiment by the South Korean manufacturer which has seemingly been considered good enough to push on for its future devices.

While information on the Galaxy S6 remains murky, one thing for sure that remains certain for the next phone will be its place as the first Samsung phone to not feature a Qualcomm processor following the news last month that the company wants to ditch it due to overheating issues.
