Windows Phone ‘Mango’ set for 15 September launch?

12 Sep 2011

Microsoft’s next Windows Phone mobile operating system code-named ‘Mango’ may be unveiled this week, rumours indicate, with a 15 September launch date mentioned in developer podcasts.

It makes sense. Microsoft will be hosting its BUILD developers conference in California, where it is also likely to unveil a Samsung tablet computer running Windows 8.

In recent weeks, HTC unveiled two new Windows Phone Mango devices – HTC Titan, with a 4.7-inch screen, and the HTC Radar.

Running on 1.5GHz Snapdragon processors, both phones feature Virtual 5.1 surround sound, HTML5 support and 720p HD video capturing capabilities.
