Waterford company Rigney Dolphin is finalising a collaboration agreement with US Cleveland Clinic to provide patient management, patient outreach and telehealth across the US and Europe. The collaboration will provide up to 30 new jobs for clinical and support staff in Waterford with more to follow.
The announcement was made during Taoiseach Enda Kenny, TD’s visit to Boston.
Rigney Dolphin, an Enterprise Ireland client company, is one of Ireland’s leading business process specialists. The company has provided the Cleveland Clinic with a range of contact centre consultancy services over the past two years.
It has also supported the clinic’s Nurse on Call and Post Discharge programmes. Building on this established relationship, Rigney Dolphin will now provide a range of connected health solutions for Cleveland Clinic’s patients across the world.
“Cleveland Clinic has a rich history of innovation in healthcare and we find collaboration to be a key element in helping patients,” Chris Coburn, executive director, Innovations at the Cleveland Clinic, explained.
“This collaboration with Rigney Dolphin addresses the global opportunities in healthcare, anticipating the changing trends in patient and customer needs.”
Rigney Dolphin’s executive chairman Dr Frank Dolphin said the experience of working with a top US and global healthcare institution had been beneficial for the Irish company, which began its operations in Waterford City.
“Collaborating with Cleveland Clinic has enabled us to reach a global market in the fast-moving, healthcare-management area. It has enabled Rigney Dolphin to launch its services into an international market and has proven Irish firms can attain global standards in quality, delivery and growth.”
An Enterprise Ireland-supported company, Rigney Dolphin was established in 1990 and has grown to be one of Ireland’s leading indigenous business process outsource partners. It provides business process solutions to a diverse range of domestic and international clients, specialising in the provision of innovative and value-add contact centre solutions. In recent years, the company has focused on the telehealth and telecare sectors and continues to build core competencies in these areas.
Kenny said the welcome announcement by Rigney Dolphin on its collaboration with Cleveland Clinic highlights the importance of the Ireland-US relationship and the business opportunities it can provide for Irish companies in the United States.
“The Government through its Action Plan on Jobs is improving supports for enterprise with the ultimate aim of making Ireland the best small country in which to do business by 2016.
“As an open economy I welcome the fact that Irish businesses are successful in the global market and from building on this successful collaboration I hope that Rigney Dolphin will further embrace new opportunities abroad.”
