Supermarket giant Tesco has announced the creation of 80 new jobs when the new store in Kinnegad, Co Westmeath, opens for business.
The store opens as part of the retailer’s €113m nationwide investment plan that was announced in July of this year, where Tesco said it would create around 750 jobs throughout the country.
The new store will create 80 jobs in the town and future outlets are set to open in Galway, Mayo, Waterford and Kildare.
Tesco currently employs 380 in Westmeath and this new store comes after recent openings in Dublin and Wicklow.
