Career Zoo, the national event where professionals and graduates can meet with employers actively seeking likely candidates in Ireland, returns to the Convention Centre Dublin on 15 February 2014 with some new features highlighting key industries.
“Irish and international employers are telling us that the jobs market has turned a corner and Career Zoo 2014 will reflect that with a brand new show three years on from our first event in the Mansion House,” said Brian Ó hOisín, Career Zoo director.
For the February event, a new Tech Town, Financial District, Engineering Quarter and Science City will join the established Career Workshops, Career Clinic and Tech Box.
The Tech Box, an element established at last year’s events, will feature a schedule of talks and activities throughout the day, while the new Tech Town is a dedicated space to showcase Irish technology and the unique career opportunities this industry has to offer. IT’s Happening Here and its member companies will be key residents, highlighting innovative Irish companies in the tech sector and their game-changing technologies.
“This is our third time to participate in Career Zoo, which has consistently delivered for IT’s Happening Here companies in terms of great hires,” said Anne Lanigan from the software division of Enterprise Ireland, which supports IT’s Happening Here. “This year’s event is an opportunity to demonstrate the unique culture of this indigenous industry and attract bright, creative, motivated techies who are looking for a fast-paced and challenging environment to use and build on their skills,” she added.
Ó hOisín said visitors to the first Career Zoo of 2014 can expect to meet with organisations in the tech, engineering, financial, science and pharma sectors, with multiple roles available for experienced professionals and graduates. Educational institutions will also be there to showcase upskilling and graduate opportunities.
The event is free to attend, and registration is open now.
