Career Zoo knows how to make your talent search easier: AI

25 Jan 2017

Does your company take part in recruitment events like Career Zoo? Do you get overwhelmed by the number of applicants? There may be a quick fix.

Recruitment events can generate a near-overwhelming number of job applications for employers. But how can you separate the wheat from the chaff? Career Zoo may have hit upon the solution: artificial intelligence (AI).

Career Zoo has announced a partnership with Opening.io, a company that uses AI to make the recruitment process entirely data-driven, enabling users to narrow down candidate pools based on role-specific criteria.

Employers participating in the upcoming Career Zoo event – taking place in The Convention Centre Dublin on Saturday, 11 March – will be able to use Opening to easily filter and match the hundreds of applications they collect on the day in just a matter of hours.

The best candidates will get matched to the employer’s job openings through a dedicated leader board. Employers will be able to easily tweak job specifications to ensure the candidates that are chosen are truly the best fit.

Jackie Slattery, director and co-founder of Career Zoo, said: “We’re really excited to announce this partnership with such an innovative technology company, Opening. It’s the first time this type of AI technology will be rolled out across Ireland, so it’s fantastic to be hosting it at March’s Career Zoo.”

Opening was founded by Dublin-based tech duo Andreea Wade and Adrian Mihai in 2014, in response to what the founders described as a “frustration with the recruitment processes in the Irish tech market”.

Employers at Career Zoo will be able to use the company’s suite of predictive tools, including market salary suggestions, candidate insights, leader boards, shortlists and best person for job.

Registration is now open for the 13th Career Zoo, taking place on Saturday 11 March at The Convention Centre Dublin.
