A job-seeker with multilingual skills has an enormous advantage in a competitive market, Michael O’Connell, manager for demand generation at Quantcast tells us at Career Zoo in Dublin on 13 September.
Quantcast, which specialises in providing demographic analytics of websites for companies to develop marketing campaigns, attended the jobs fair to find employees for a number of roles within its Dublin office.
Some of the jobs on offer on the day were in sales, marketing, client services and media operations.
O’Connell believes languages are an important commodity for Irish job-seekers as companies continue to look abroad to fill multilingual positions, and not mention the international nature of the internet.
“Languages help, as a lot of the tech companies in Ireland serve the European market,” said O’Connell.
