Career Zoo: Interview with Suzanne Whelan, Version 1

22 Sep 2014

After a successful Career Zoo last February with hundreds of CV applications and a number of hirings, the company’s talent acquisition manager, Suzanne Whelan, sees the team size grow with the company.

The biggest change from Version 1’s perspective, according to Whelan, is that whereas before they would have only looked at hiring job-seekers who would have experienced backgrounds in their particular field, they are now looking to more junior candidates to fill expanding teams.

Last February, the IT consulting company was able to take on 10 interns who would be comprised of new graduates soon out of university.

Most importantly, the company were able to offer roles to people from various backgrounds who wanted to work in Version 1: “We would have hired [after February’s Career Zoo] interns incuding an solicitor, an architect and someone was in history so a wide variety of experience but they had the right attitude.”
