This Saturday (11 March), Career Zoo is descending on the Convention Centre Dublin for its first event of 2017. With thousands of attendees expected and a packed schedule, how can you be sure you won’t miss anything?
These pointers from Career Zoo director Brian Ó hOisín should help:
1. New tech workshops
On Saturday, you can take part in an exciting selection of exclusive tech workshops, brought to you by PwC, Criteo and Jet.com. If cybersecurity, big data, the internet of things (IoT) or coding is your thing, then sign up now.
2. Allies workshops
Visit the Allies workshops space for essential sessions on unconscious bias, imposter syndrome and networking for your career.
3. Tech Box
The Tech Box is the area of Career Zoo that’s just brimming with techies, all talking about the technologies driving their businesses.
Here, you’ll find representatives from Version 1, Jet.com, PTC, Fleetmatics, Qualtrics, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and Rockall Technologies, and enjoy standout talks on cybersecurity, e-commerce, SaaS, DevOps and UX design.
4. PTC’s IoT demonstration
PTC has fitted out a Santa Cruz mountain bike with sensors that connect to PTC’s cutting-edge IoT technology, which measures parameters such as fork travel, wheel speed and steering angle. As you cycle the bike, the data gets beamed to the PTC ThingWorx platform in the cloud, creating a digital twin of the bike. You can then display all of these parameters in real time on your smartphone.

5. Main stage panel discussions
On Saturday, you can visit the main stage for not-to-be-missed sessions on diversity, e-commerce and IoT with our fantastic panellists.
