Career Zoo’s Tech Town to turn spotlight on start-ups

29 Jul 2014

Tech Town returns to Career Zoo on 13 September by popular demand, bringing with it new additions that include a start-up workshop to provide entrepreneurs with everything they need to know to start a business.

Tech Town is only one example of why Career Zoo is more than just a Dublin career fair for professionals and graduates. Tech Town will also showcase career progression opportunities, as well as Irish tech companies and their gadgets and technologies.

Brian Ó hOisín, director of Career Zoo, said Tech Town is going to be bigger and better than before.

“We have lots in store for September’s Tech Town,” Ó hOisín said.

Irish companies leading the way in terms of technology and innovation and support from Bank of Ireland really brings Tech Town “to the next level”, Ó hOisín added.

Gerry Prizeman, head of Enterprise Development at Bank of Ireland, sponsor of Tech Town (#BOITechTown on Twitter), said they are looking forward to meeting those who visit the event.

“For job-seekers and potential tech start-ups (Tech Town) is a great opportunity to network with people in the industry and to get advice and tips on finding the role they wish to secure or advice on setting up their own company,” Prizeman said.

More at Career Zoo

Career Zoo will also feature the return of the Career Workshop series, a Career Clinic, where attendees can obtain career advice, Tech Box, which will host tech activities, and more new additions yet to be announced.

As always, Ireland’s leading employers, research establishments and enterprise organisations will be on hand to meet with smart, ambitious candidates who are looking to upskill or advance their careers.

Career Zoo, which will take place at the Convention Centre Dublin, is free to attend, but registration in advance is recommended.
