Continent 8 Technologies to create 15 Dublin jobs

4 Nov 2013

Hosting services provider Continent 8 Technologies is to create 15 jobs in Dublin with the opening of a new EMEA Service Operations Centre (SOC) in the city.

Continent 8 Technologies provides companies with facilities from which to host their online operations, and recruitment has already begun for roles in customer support, technical support, and product and service development.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny, TD, opened the new SOC, Continent 8 Technologies’ ninth facility worldwide, with company CEO Michael Tobin.

“When Continent 8 decided to invest in Ireland and expand our global data centre footprint, we looked for a facility that had comprehensive and diverse connectivity, while deploying the latest in data centre cooling technologies to drive overall efficiency for our customers,” Tobin said.

“This facility allows us to deliver on these requirements and continue to develop our global portfolio of managed hosting services.”

While the official opening of the new SOC just took place, Continent 8 had been up and running in Dublin for several months.

Besides Dublin, Continent 8 Technologies has operations in London, Paris, Montreal, Isle of Man, Gibraltar, Guernsey, Malta, and Singapore, with further planned launches in Canada, the US and the Far East.
