12 top companies hiring engineers in Ireland right now

6 Mar 2017

This Engineers Week, we take a look at some of the top tech and pharma companies currently hiring engineers in Ireland.

Everyone has a different perception of what an engineer is, depending on their industry. Those working in construction think of civil and structural engineers. Tech workers will think of software. Those with a science background will think of processes.

Engineers Week celebrates all of them.

As tech, in particular, has grown exponentially over the last number of years, the role of the engineer has earned increased prominence in the zeitgeist. Suddenly engineers, now synonymous with Silicon Valley cool, have a certain celebrity among other tech roles.

Of course, tech is far from holding a monopoly on the ‘engineer’ title, and other sectors hire engineers in droves.

Given Ireland’s status as a sci-tech hub – with Dublin’s Silicon Docks, Galway’s biotech cluster and the big pharma companies dotted around the island – engineering roles are prevalent within these borders.

For Engineers Week, we’ve taken a look at some of the top companies currently hiring engineers in Ireland, and gathered them here in one handy list.

When she was younger, she had a dream where she started and won a fight with a T-Rex, so she’s pretty sure she kicked butt at this, too. Passions include eating all the cake, watching more TV than is healthy and sassy comebacks.
